Park Events Cancelled for August 26 and 27

JOHNSON CITY, TEXAS – Due to the pending weather forecast of severe weather in the region, Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park is cancelling all special events planned at the LBJ Ranch for Saturday, August 26 and Sunday, August 27. This will include Saturday night’s “Movie Under the Stars” screening of the HBO film All the Way, and all events related to the annual wreathlaying ceremony on August 27 commemorating President Johnson’s birthday. 
The National Park Service will be posting weather alerts and any changes to normal operating hours on the park’s website at www.nps.gov/lyjo. The park urges everyone to take necessary precautions to remain safe over the next few days and heed all weather advisories.
 
Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site is also cancelling all planned events for August 27. For updates regarding the LBJ State Park, please contact staff members at the visitor center desk at 830-644-2252 ext. 226, or visit www.tpwd.state.tx.us/state-park/lyndon-b-johnson.
