National Park Service to Hold Private Wreath Laying Ceremony for President Lyndon B. Johnson’s 113th Birthday

JOHNSON CITY, Texas – Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park’s annual Wreath Laying Ceremony marking the birthday of President Johnson will be conducted as a small private ceremony, open by invitation.

The program will be recorded and made available the week after the event. The recording will be shared on Facebook by the LBJ Presidential Library (@LBJPresLib) and the park (@LBJohnsonNPS). Press inquiries for photographs and video of the event may contact the park at LYJO_information@nps.gov.

To allow for staffing of the event, the Johnson City Visitor Center will open at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021. The Hangar Visitor Center at the LBJ Ranch District will keep normal operating hours, 10:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
