Cortege Route for Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson to Pass by Park Visitor Center and LBJ Boyhood Home

The public will have an opportunity to pay their respects to Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson as her cortege moves through Johnson City on Sunday, July 15 at approximately 10 a.m. The cortege will enter Johnson City via U.S. Highway 290, then follow Avenue F south, past the LBJ Boyhood Home, turning on to Ladybird Lane past the park visitor center, and then north on Nugent Street to rejoin Main Street (U.S. Highway 290) and continue to the LBJ Ranch. The burial service at the ranch is private (by invitation only).

In addition, the public is invited to the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park Visitor Center at Avenue G and Ladybird Lane in Johnson City to view the photo and exhibit tributes to Mrs. Johnson and also the film about her life and achievements. The national historical park visitor center will be open for extended hours, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturday, July 14 and Sunday, July 15. The LBJ Boyhood Home will be closed on Sunday, July 15 only.
