RIVER MOUNTAINS LOOP TRAIL DETOUR ENDS NOV 22

BOULDER CITY, Nevada – The temporary detour of the River Mountains Loop Trail near the Alfred Merritt Smith Water Treatment Facility will expire Nov. 22, 2017. The detour was established last year in coordination with major construction activity in the area.

While construction activity is expected to continue, the trail will return to its normal route. Park management and maintenance staff have evaluated the trail for safety and readiness.

The River Mountains Loop Trail is a 34-mile trail that circles the River Mountains. It travels through Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Boulder City and Henderson. For more information about the trail, visit https://rivermountainstrail.org/.
