Kobuk Valley Spring Resource Subsistence Commision Meeting Canceled

The Chair of Kobuk Valley Subsistence Resource Commission (SRC), Tristen Pattee, has cancelled the Commission’s spring 2024 meeting. Notice will be provided if rescheduled at a later date. 

The National Park Service staff send our heartfelt condolences to SRC member and past-Chair Shield Downey Jr.'s family and friends for their profound loss. Superintendent Ray McPadden would like to thank Shield for his 18 years of service on the SRC protecting subsistence and cultural resources in Kobuk Valley National Park and beyond.

We will all miss him— and his jokes—very much.
