Kobuk Valley Subsistence Resource Commission to Meet February 23-24, 2023

The National Park Service’s Kobuk Valley National Park Subsistence Resource Commission will be meeting in Kotzebue on Thursday and Friday, February 23-24. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be held at the National Park Service’s Northwest Arctic Heritage Center, 171 Third Avenue. It will begin at 1:00PM on Thursday, February 23, and is scheduled to adjourn for the day at 5:00PM. The meeting will resume on Friday, February 24, at 9:00AM and it will conclude at 12:00PM.

Topics to be covered include reports from the nine-member commission on subsistence issues and concerns, updates from NPS staff, management issues, wildlife research and monitoring activities, and Federal Wildlife Regulations.
