CALUMET, MI — The Keweenaw National Historical Park Advisory Commission will convene for its regular quarterly meeting at 1:00pm on Tuesday, January 9th, 2024. The meeting will be held in-person at the Keweenaw National Historical Park Headquarters building, located on the corner of Red Jacket Road and Hwy. US-41 in Calumet.

The meeting will include an update on the work of the Commission and the National Park Service during the last quarter, discussion of plans and projects to be undertaken in the upcoming quarter, as well as questions, requests, and comments from members of the public. The Commission will be announcing the kickoff of this year’s Keweenaw Heritage Grant Program, including pertinent dates for submission, review, and award. 

The Keweenaw NHP Advisory Commission, paneled by citizens appointed by the Secretary of the Interior, represents the public and works collaboratively with the National Park Service to advise and assist with managing the resources of Keweenaw National Historical Park. Agendas and minutes are available upon request to the Executive Director, Sean Gohman, over phone / email and can be found at the park’s website. The Commission’s quarterly meetings are open to the public.
