Records document the functions and activities of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. The records document the preservation, interpretation, maintenance, and administration related to Kennesaw Mountain NBP and related historic structures. The records also document exhibits created by the park through project and research files. This collection contains central files, correspondence, reports, project files, historical research, program records, articles, maps, drawings, photos, oral histories, videos, scrapbooks, and newspapers relating to KEMO. The strengths of the collection encompass the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) activities on site, oral histories from park staff as well as CCC workers, historical research, and an extensive photograph series that document park events and landscapes.
Finding aids contain information on the contents and significance of an archival collection. The finding aid may include descriptive information; repository information; collection history; biographical or historical information on creators of the collection; and in some cases a container or folder list of everything in the collection.
