Junior Ranger Adventure Guide

The Adventure Guide is best suited for ages 4-12. Learn more about your park, glaciers, and wildlife by working on these activities. After completing the required activities, turn it in to a park ranger, and earn your Junior Ranger Badge.

The Junior Ranger Adventure Guide is available at any park visitor center, from any park ranger, and on tour boats to Kenai Fjords.

Whether Book or App, delve deeper into your trip and earn your Explorer Badge.

Explorer Journal App

Download the NEW NPS Kenai Fjords Journal App to your mobile device. The app allows you to dig a little deeper into your visit as you explore the park and reflect on this amazing place. The app is available for iOS.

The Explorer Journal is best suited for ages 13 and up. After completing the required activities, show it to a park ranger, and earn your Explorer Badge.

You can also pick up a journal at any park visitor center, from any ranger you see while visiting the park, or on your boat tour into the park.

 

Visiting Kenai Fjords

  • Check out an Art for Parks or a Discovery backpack. They are available at the Exit Glacier Nature Center. Kids and their families can use it to explore their artistic or scientific side while visiting the park. Ask a ranger or volunteer about earning the Junior Glacier Ranger patch.

  • Junior Fjord Ranger walks are available for visitors (ages 8-12) at the Kenai Fjords Visitor Center in the summer. All participants will have the opportunity to earn a Junior Fjord Ranger patch. Check the visitor center for current dates and times.
