Hello and welcome to the new Resource Management Team's web log. We hope you find this site to be an interesting, informal, yet informative, environment to discover new places and creatures in Kenai Fjords and gain new insights about the processes that affect them. Perhaps you will be inspired to visit or revisit this coastal treasure as you read the stories presented here through the eyes of the park's research staff.
Throughout the busy field season, we will share our observations, stories, photos, and science from the top of the ice fields to the high tide water line and everywhere in between in Kenai Fjords. For this season you can look forward to stories about: eagles and falcons, glacier dynamics, bears, weather and climate, cultural resource investigations, plant life, soundscapes, seabirds, and so much more! Even with all this work, our staff is dedicated to sharing with you our notes from the field so you can connect with this place for which we care so deeply.
Each story will have a link to a "discovery point", which will bring you to the story's location - a more immersive, interactive experience (Google Earth required)! So, bookmark this page, relax in the summer sun, or pack for adventure once inspired, and read about what is going on in the field at Kenai Fjords National Park.
