Belted Kingfisher

This spunky bird sports its deep blue plumage with its white underbelly with sometimes copper markings and its classic mohawk. This is a stockier bird with a long and heavy bill equipped for taking on mainly aquatic prey like small fish, frogs, and crustaceans. That being said they will eat lizards, small birds, and berries in the winter.

Blue Jay

Outside of their beautiful colors blue jays are known for their intelligence and tight family bonds. They’ve been seen manipulating locks and using tools. They mate for life and both males and females work together to build nests
