Assistive Listening and Captioning

At the Tekakapimek Contact Station there are three video screens playing images of the river, canoeing the river, and a slideshow of images of northern Maine with someone singing in a native language. Captioning and assistive listening are not currently available anywhere in the monument for either videos or ranger programs.

American Sign Language

If you are wanting to attend a ranger program and need an ASL interpreter, please contact the park at least three weeks in advance. To see a list of current ranger programs, please visit our Calendar page. Requests for ASL interpreters can be made by email or by phone at 207-456-6001.
