A Park in Progress

We are a recently established National Monument and a park in progress. We acknowledge that Maine's North Woods is a wild place, and we appreciate your patience as we work with our partners to make this a space everyone can experience.

Keep in mind: Katahdin Woods and Waters is remote and accessible only by dirt roads. There are limited facilities within the monument and cell service is spotty and unreliable. Please do your research before your visit!
