Greetings Anza Trail Friends,
We are so pleased to introduce this new blog space to you! Beginning January 2018 we’ll be kicking off our blog from nps.gov in order to share the great accomplishments of all the wonderful Anza Trail partners and ever valuable Anza Trail VIPs (Volunteers in Parks).
In this space we’ll post what’s happening along the trail and we hope these articles and images will inspire more of you who work in partnership with us to submit your stories and accomplishments. We love to share the amazing work you do!
Next year, 2018, marks the 50th Anniversary of the National Trails System Act, and what a better way to commemorate that with a kick-off of this blog space. The National Trails System was enacted by Congress and signed into law on October 2, 1968. We’ll be commemorating this anniversary all year with events along the historic Anza expedition route. We invite you during our anniversary year to #FindYourWay and explore America’s national scenic, recreational and historic trails.
Be sure to come back on January 4, 2018 for our first official posting, and come back every other week for more! In the meantime, we’ll see you on the trail!
Naomi L. Torres
