Pets are welcome at Johnstown Flood National Memorial! Responsible pet care is expected of all visitors. Pets must be on a leash of not more than 6 feet in length at all times and owners need to clean up after their pet. Pets are not permitted in buildings and they may not be tied to park features or facilities-thus leaving them unattended-while owners go into park buildings. Service animals, or course, are not pets and are welcome to assist their owner as needed. Please do not leave pets in vehicles; pets can quickly become overheated if left in a vehicle even if the outside temperatures are not that extreme.
Johnstown Flood National Memorial is open in the winter. The park is located in Cambria County, PA, and often takes on winter extremes. If planning on traveling from a long distance, please contact the park beforehand to ensure that the facilities are open. During the summer, the park is also subject to severe thunderstorms. Please consult weather forecasts to ensure that conditions are safe to travel in.
Please park vehicles in designated parking areas only; parking on grassy surfaces may result in being ticketed. Please lock and secure your vehicle upon leaving it and make sure all valuables left in vehicles are put out of sight.
