Winter Visitor Services Hours Begin November 2016
The Thomas Condon Paleontology Center in the Sheep Rock Unit of John Day Fossil Beds will be open 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. seven days per week throughout the winter, excluding winter holidays.

John Day Fossil Beds National Monument Recruiting Youth Conservation Corps Members
John Day Fossil Beds National Monument will sponsor an 8-week long Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program this summer. Youths 15 to 18 are encouraged to apply, provided that they do not reach their 19th birthday before August 5, 2016.
