How Tall is it?

Compare the Arch to other monuments and buildings:

Monuments:
Gateway Arch 630 Feet 192 Meters
Southwestern Bell Telephone Building (St. Louis, Missouri) 587 Feet 179 Meters
Eiffel Tower 984.25 Feet 300 Meters
Old Courthouse (St. Louis, Missouri)
(from the floor of the Rotunda to the top)
161 Feet 49 Meters
Statue of Liberty 305 Feet 93 Meters
Washington Monument 555 Feet 169 Meters
San Jacinto Monument (San Jacinto, Texas) 570 Feet 174 Meters

Buildings:
Empire State Building (New York) 1,250 Feet 381 Meters
Willis Tower (Chicago) 1454 Feet 442 Meters
One World Trade Center (New York) 1776 Feet 541 Meters
Burj Khalifa (Dubai) 2717 Feet 828 Meters

The Gateway Arch is 75 feet taller than the Washington Monument and over twice as tall as the Statue of Liberty.

If the 60-foot heads carved on the face of Mount Rushmore had bodies, the giants would stand about 465 feet tall and could easily walk through the legs of the Arch!

While the Gateway Arch is America's tallest monument and the tallest building in all of Missouri, several buildings elsewhere would loom over the Arch.
