Replace Old Courthouse Roof

The Old Courthouse is a nationally significant structure listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Constructed between 1839 and 1862, the building is an outstanding example of 19th century Greek Revival public architecture and was the site of the first two Dred Scott trials.

The New Roof Installation

Despite ongoing maintenance and repairs since that time, the roof's condition has deteriorated to the point that complete replacement is now required. A copper roof will replace the lead coated copper roof that was installed in 1941 bringing the structure back to it's original condition.
