The Albert P. Greensfelder Book Collection covers topics such as the Mississippi River, issues in states that border the Mississippi River, reports from groups, city and national planning, roads, parkways, and the general St. Louis area.

Albert Preston Greensfelder was a civil engineer and namesake of Greensfelder Park in St. Louis County. He was a passionate advocate for the improvement of the St. Louis region, and at the time of his 1955 death was the chairman of the St. Louis County Park Board, the County Park and Recreation Advisory Committee, and member of the board of trustees for Creve Coeur Memorial Park. Greensfelder Shelter at Creve Coeur Park also bears his name.

The collection contains 174 books, most of which were published in the first half of the twentieth century. Ephemera found inside of these books, as well as Mr. Greensfelder's personal papers, are also collected in the GANP Archives.
