Professional Development for Teachers
Each year the education department at Gateway Arch National Park hosts a range of free professional development workshops for teachers. The department strives to host at least two professional development workshops every year in the fall, although additional offerings are periodically offered at different times of the year. The education department can also help schools develop and facilitate workshops for their teachers on-site at their school.
Upcoming Professional Development Programs
If your school would like to develop a workshop that fits your needs, the Education department is available to help. We can travel to your school or your staff can come to the park. The workshop length can be tailored to fit your schedule, from 1 hour up to 4 hours. All workshops use curriculum-based, interdisciplinary activities to explore the themes of Gateway Arch National Park.General workshop topics include:
