What We Inventory

Effective long-term management and stewardship of natural resources begins with baseline knowledge of these resources. To acquire this knowledge, an inventory program was established by the National Park Service. Twelve basic inventories were selected with an eye toward providing baseline data to support the initiation of the Vital Signs Monitoring Program.
