Walk Among the Stars and Fireflies at Homestead National Monument of America

Homestead National Monument of America will be hosting a ranger led night hike on the restored tallgrass prairie on the evening of Saturday July 11, 2015 at the Heritage Centerat 8:30 p.m. Learn about the nocturnal animals such as bats, fireflies, and owls that make Homestead their home. Following the hike will be a star gazing party with rangers in the Heritage Center parking lot. Bring your telescopes and binoculars and see the stars like never before! Also, insect repellent and lawn chairs are highly recommended.

Homestead National Monument of America is a unit of the National Park Service located four miles west of Beatrice, Nebraska. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
