Homestead National Monument of America and the Nebraska State Quilt Guild are excited to announce the winner of the state-wide quilt design contest "Images of Homesteading", Jan Stehlik, from Dorchester, NE. Her wonderful piece of art will be on display in commemoration of the 150th Anniversary of the Homestead Act of 1862. This hand-quilted soon-to-be piece of history will be completed by Nebraska State Quilt Guild and Homestead Quilting Club members at the Homestead's Education Center.
