______________________________________________________________________________ National Park Service "Kids in Parks: Explore Your Winter World" Families are invited to come to Homestead National Monument of America to explore their winter world with a Park Ranger on February 23 at 10:00 a.m.Dress appropriately to explore outside. This fun program will start at the Homestead Education Center. Winter is a great time of the year to get outside and look for animal signs. With assistance from the trained eye of a Park Ranger kids young and old will discover the animals that call Homestead home and learn about their adaptations that allow them to survive the cold winter months. "This great event is a wonderful way to slow down and discover the magic of nature and the beauty of the winter landscape", stated Superintendent Mark Engler. Homestead National Monument of America is a unit of the National Park Service located four miles west of Beatrice, Nebraska.
