Come celebrate Homestead National Monument of America's 80^th Birthday on March 19, 2016, with a day of FUN activities. Get jazzed with the high energy music of the Bathtub Dogs men's choir from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.See extreme Lego builders creating displays like the Nebraska State Capitol, steam engines, a railroad coaling station and many more. Come eat cakes built and decorated to look like the Freeman School and the Palmer-Epard Cabin! Try your hand with the Aksarben Amateur Radio Operators in communicating throughout the United States.Be a part of the debut of the Barn Quilt Quest webpage and learn how you can explore southeast Nebraska through these fascinating quilt squares. All events are free of charge!!

Homestead National Monument of America is a unit of the National Park Service located four miles west of Beatrice, Nebraska or 45 miles south of Lincoln, Nebraska. Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The trails are open from dawn to dusk.Admission is free of charge.
