Fees & Passes

ENTRANCE FEE:
The Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt (National Park Service) and the FDR Presidential Library and Museum (National Archives and Records Administration) offer an $18 joint admission ticket. These tickets are valid for 2 days.

Children 15 years and under are free.

Top Cottage - $10 Open May 1, 2017 - October 2017.

Tickets and visitor information are available in the Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center located on the FDR grounds. All Tours begin in the Henry A. Wallace Visitor Center.

The grounds and the Rose Garden, where Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt are buried are free and open everyday from sunrise to sunset.


Free Entrance Days in the National Parks for 2017



 
The Interagency Annual, Annual 4th Grade, Senior, Access, and Active Duty Military Passes are sold and honored for free admission at all the National Park Service sites in Hyde Park. The FDR Presidential Library and Museum admission is $9.00 for everyone except Access Pass holders and children 15 and under. Please see the fee collector in the Henry Wallace Visitor and Education Center for more information on the passes.

 

Annual Pass

  • $80 annual pass
  • Available to everyone.
  • Can be obtained in person at a federal recreation site, or by calling 1-888-ASK USGS (1-888-275-8747), Ext. 3 (Hours of operation are: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Mountain time), or online. Buy Now
  • Non-transferable.
 

Free Annual Pass for U.S. Military (Active Duty)

  • Available to U.S. military members and dependents in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard and also, Reserve and National Guard members.
  • Must be obtained in person at a Federal recreation site by showing a Common Access Card (CAC) or Military ID (Form 1173).

Annual 4th Grade Pass

  • Available to U.S. 4th graders (including home-schooled and free-choice learners 10 years of age) with a valid Every Kid in a Park paper pass.
  • The pass is valid for the duration of the 4th grade school year through the following summer (September-August).
  • Paper passes can be obtained by visiting the Every Kid in a Park website and can be exchanged for the Annual 4th Grade Pass atFederal recreation sites that charge Entrance or Standard Amenity fees.
  • Digital version of the paper pass (such as on smart phones or tablets) will not be accepted to exchange for an Annual 4th Grade Pass.
  • The pass is non-transferable.

Additional Details about the Annual 4th Grade Pass

 

Senior Pass

  • $10 Lifetime pass
  • For U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
  • May be obtained in person at a federal recreation site or through the mail using this application form. The cost of obtaining a Senior Pass through the mail is twenty dollars ($20). Ten ($10) for the Senior Pass and ten ($10) for processing the application. Applicants must provide documentation of age and residency or citizenship.
  • May provide a 50 percent discount on some amenity fees charged for facilities and services such as camping, swimming, boat launch, and specialized interpretive services.
  • Generally does NOT cover or reduce special recreation permit fees or fees charged by concessioners.
  • Note: Golden Age Passports are no longer sold. However, these passes will continue to be honored according to the provisions of the pass.

The cost of obtaining an Access Pass through the mail is ten dollars ($10) for processing the application (the Pass is free). Applicants must provide documentation of permanent disability and residency or citizenship.
