HFC Braille Publication Guide

The Publications Office at Harpers Ferry Center for Media Services provides Braille transcriptions for new Unigrid brochures developed since 2010 by this office. We offer these guidelines so you can transcribe older brochures or other publications. The guidelines provide basic information about Braille transcriptions, editing hints, format suggestions, cost guidance, and sources for transcription and embossing services. In addition to the guidelines, we include a cover template, sample manuscript ready for transcription, and sample page of interline transcription (shows Braille cells).
