Accessibility

Our Goal:

The National Park Service welcomes people with disabilities. We strive to make our facilities, services, and programs accessible to all.

Hagerman Fossil Beds Visitor Center

Reserved parking spaces are available with wheelchair accessible walkways to the visitor center. The facility has wheelchair accessible restrooms.

Braille Materials

The Hagerman Fossil Beds park folder is available in Braille, please ask. If you have a Braille writer the Braille Ready File can be printed at home.

Park Brochure

The park brochure is available in braille, audio description, and text-only versions.

Access Pass

U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities may be eligible for the America the Beautiful Access Pass. There are no entrance fees at Hagerman Fossil Beds, and we do not sell or issue passes of any type. Passes may be obtained from participating sites, including nearby Craters of the Moon National Monument & Preserve.

National Parks: Accessible to Everyone

National Parks: Accessible to Everyone is the National Park Service's website dedicated to showcasing trails, activities, and other features that are accessible at units of the National Park System nationwide.

Service Animals

Dogs classified as service animals are individually trained to perform a specific task that assists a person with a disability. Service dogs are legally permitted anywhere that visitors can go. Learn more about requirements for service animals. Emotional support, therapy, and companion animals, as well as service animals in training, are not service animals and must abide by all pet regulations.
