Support Your Park

VIP Logo

Volunteers-in-Parks provide thousands of hours of service to improve the quality of local parks and help the National Park Service achieve its mission of preserving these resources for future generations.

There are volunteer opportunities for people who want to

  • Share a love of history or nature with park visitors
  • Care for the park's plants or animals
  • Keep trails in good condition
  • Keep the Potomac River watershed free of trash

Volunteering is a great way for students to explore a career as a park ranger, too.

To learn more about volunteering as an individual or a group, e-mail us.

Please visit the Arlington House, Clara Barton National Historic Site, Glen Echo Park, Great Falls Park, Lyndon Baines Johnson Memorial, and Theodore Roosevelt Island webpages for information about volunteering at those sites.
