Sleep under the stars just outside San Francisco! Golden Gate has four campgrounds located in the Marin Headlands.
Bicentennial CampgroundOPEN SEASON: Year-Round Reservations - For reservations call 1-877-444-6777, or reserve online at Recreation.gov.
Hawk CampgroundCLOSED FOR THE SEASON The most remote of Golden Gate's campgrounds, Hawk Camp is located high above Gerbode Valley. There are three sites, each of which can accommodate up to four people. Choose between a strenuous 4-mile hike up the Bobcat trail from the Marin Headlands Visitor Center, or a 3-mile hike from the Tennessee Valley parking area. Maximum stay is three nights per year. Entire campground may be reserved. There is no water available for drinking or cleaning. No wood or charcoal fires allowed; gas camp stoves are permitted. No pets allowed. RVs are not permitted.
Haypress CampgroundCLOSED FOR THE SEASON Located in the Tennessee Valley in the north end of the Marin Headlands (a gentle three-quarters of a mile walk from the Tennessee Valley parking area), Haypress has five sites. Each site can accommodate up to four people. Entire campground may be reserved. Maximum stay is three nights per year. No water is available for drinking or cleaning. No wood or charcoal fires allowed; gas camp stoves are permitted. No pets allowed. RVs are not permitted.
