Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell are open to visitation 24 hours a day. When contemplating a visit to a national park, the National Park Service asks you use Leave No Trace principles. Pack out everything you bring into a park; plan a visit at times other than busiest of the day; park only in designated areas; and boat responsibly.
At Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, along with seasonal closures, many services and operations will be suspended in order to comply with the state, county, local and tribal orders. The changing lake levels may also affect services available.
