Glen Canyon visitors support 3,419 local jobs, showing 40 percent growth
Tourism to Glen Canyon National Recreation Area supports 3,419 local jobs, a new federal report shows, indicating a 40 percent increase since 2015. Spending in local communities by park visitors also increased 40 percent last year to exceed $240 million.

Rainbow Bridge in National Register of Historic Places
The National Park Service has designated Rainbow Bridge a Traditional Cultural Property, recognizing the site's historic and ongoing cultural significance to at least six American Indian tribes, and establishing its listing in the National Register of Historic Places.

Higher visitation in Glen Canyon in 2016 - 3,325,894, up 753,531 over 2015 and marking the highest total since 1993. Of those visitors, 1,422,353 stayed at Glen Canyon overnight.
