Mount Quincy Adams

Named by Lawrence Martin, U.S. Deptartment of State, in 1923 for John Quincy Adams (1767-1848). He was Secretary of State under President Monroe and President of the United States, and in the former capacity, negotiated the first treaty between the United States and Russia, establishing what would later become a part of the boundary between the United States and Canada.
