Fort Sumter National Monument has partnered with the Charleston RiverDogs for a special "National Park Night" at the Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park on Tuesday, April 23. Located at 360 Fishburne Street in Charleston, the gates open at 6:00 p.m. and the game starts at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 children will get small, squeezable baseballs and can earn a special RiverDogs Junior Ranger button. A portion of online ticket sales will benefit the Fort Sumter-Fort Moultrie Historical Trust, a nonprofit friends group that supports the programs of Fort Sumter National Monument. You can purchase game tickets online at www.riverdogs.com. Junior Ranger Day is part of National Park Week, April 20-28, 2013.
