Free Entrance to Fort Pulaski on Super Museum Sunday

SAVANNAH –Need something to do before the big game? Get outside and visit Fort Pulaski! As part of the Georgia History Festival's Super Museum Sunday, Fort Pulaski National Monument will be fee free all day Sunday, February 7, 2016. Over 40 cultural institutions, historic sites, house museums, art museums, and other points of interest in Savannah and coastal Georgia open their doors to the public for this Georgia Historical Society tradition. Fort Pulaski National Monument includes a wide range of historic and natural resources. Not only is it the site of a significant Civil War battle, it contains one of the largest and most intact federally protected salt marshes in the United States. The park will have a number of activities including a special family friendly interactive program. There will be stations where you will learn about fort life, make a musket cartridge, and communicate with signal flags. Visitors can enjoy all that Fort Pulaski National Monument has to offer and more with free admission on the second Sunday of February. The park's Super Museum Sunday schedule follows:

11:30 a.m. The Underground Railroad and Fort Pulaski
1:30 p.m. Musket Demonstration
3:00 p.m. Guided Fort Tour
3:00 p.m. The Underground Railroad and Fort Pulaski

10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Interactive Activity Stations in Fort Pulaski
2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Interactive Activity Stations in Fort Pulaski
