SAVANNAH, GA – Travel back to 1863 for a holiday visit to Cockspur Island as Fort Pulaski National Monument presents special holiday day time programming on Saturday, December 17th and Sunday, December 18th. Visitors will have the chance to experience the Union fort at its festively decorated best as they attend guided fort tours, see cannon demonstrations featuring our living historians, and participate in family activities for all ages.
Special musical entertainment will feature performances by Three Fold Chord and Suzanne and Jim. The Minick Ladies of Three Fold Chord specialize in providing beautiful acapella music in period-specific style. Suzanne and Jim, a husband and wife team, are true modern troubadours who blend their harmonious vocals with their astounding skills on acoustic instruments such as the 5 string banjo, guitar, flute, autoharp, courtship dulcimer--and maybe even a few surprises.
