SAVANNAH, GA – Fort Pulaski might not have its own ghost story, but our island has certainly witnessed its fair share of the macabre. On October 19th and 20th, join park staff for a special ranger-led lantern tour into the darker history of Cockspur Island.

From Drowning to Dysentery will be offered at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. both evenings, and will last approximately 90 minutes. Due to program content and safety concerns, only those ages 16 and over will be permitted. Tour participants should be able to stand for long periods of time and be able to maneuver in low lighting. It is recommended that participants dress for the weather and wear comfortable footwear. Lighting will be provided for participants, so please, no flashlights or headlamps.

Spaces are limited, so reserve yours now! Tickets are $18 per person and can be purchased at the park entrance station, or by calling 912-786-4383, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., seven days per week. Gates will open a half hour before each tour starts. Tours will meet at the Fort Pulaski cemetery. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled tour. Guests arriving late may not be able to participate in their tour.
