SAVANNAH, GA – Fort Pulaski National Monument has reopened following Hurricane Idalia. Park officials completed an assessment of the park’s facilities and resources on Thursday and found minimal damage. The national monument closed on August 28th in anticipation of impacts from the hurricane. All visitor facilities are open on their regular schedule from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. While little damage was observed, please use caution when exploring the park via trails. There may still be some hazardous limbs and branches present.
Fort Pulaski National Monument is located on U.S. Highway 80, 15 miles east of Savannah.
