DEDICATION OF NEW ARCHEOLOGY EXHIBIT AT HISTORIC FORT MCHENRY!

At 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 27, the ribbon will be cut, opening the first of a series of permanent exhibits that will be showcased during the War of 1812 bicentennial! Designed by Mystic Scenic, from Boston Massachusetts, the display gives an insight into daily life of the fort's soldiers at the time of the 1814 bombardment - rare buttons, bones and bayonets are but some of the original items from the desperate defense of the fort in 1814!

Special Legends and Lore Walks
: With over two hundred years of history, Fort McHenry has its share of legends such as secret tunnels, ghostly apparitions and strange noises. Join a Park Ranger for candlelight walk upon the ramparts and learn the history of the fort through these exciting stories that blend history, folklore, the humorous and the unexplainable.
