Visitor Center Museum: The visitor center museum is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm daily. Inside the museum you can obtain the park brochure, Jr Ranger Books, passport stamps, and a ranger can answer any questions you may have. The musuem illustrates the timeline of history at Fort Laramie with images, and information. Several artifacts are display with information.

Movie Theater: Inside the visitor center museum is the theater. The theater plays the 18 minute park film on request. The park film is subtitled. The theater can accomendate up to 30 visitors.

Bookstore: The bookstore is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm daily. The store offers various Fort Laramie memorabilia, including books, ornaments, magnets, t-shirts, and more! There are various seasonal offerings and locally made honey, candles, and artworkfor purchase. The park store is run by the Fort Laramie Historical Association and procedes go back to the park for future programing.

Explore the Historic Buildings: Enter into our nine museum spaces across the park located in our historic buildings. The spaces illustrates the lives of the people who lived at Fort Laramie throughout its decades of operation.

Indoor Ranger Programs: On poor weather days there will be special ranger programs available inside the visitor center and inside museum spaces. These programs will cover various topics and times will vary.


Indoor Living History Programs: Throughout the summer there will rangers and volunteers dress in living history clothing inside several of the historic buildings offering formal and informal programing.


Visit the Enlisted Bar: Visit the Enlisted Bar where you can purchase vintage soda beverages from the time period and talk with living historians.
