The National Park Service is pleased to announce free admission to all National Parks during National Park Week, April 21-29. In conjunction with National Park Week, Fort Frederica National Monument is celebrating Junior Ranger Day on April 28th with special hands-on programs featuring both history and the environment.

Superintendent Mary Beth Wester is pleased to welcome visitors to participate in Fort Frederica's activities on Saturday April 28th.  At 11:00 am, a costumed Park ranger will conduct a hands-on musket drill so visitors can experience the life of a soldier during colonial times. At 2:00 pm there will be a reading of Dr. Seuss's The Lorax, followed by craft time which includes planting marigolds in the park's demonstration garden. In celebration of Junior Ranger Day all children are encouraged to participate in Fort Frederica's award-winning Junior Ranger Program, which is also available at all times throughout the year by request at the park's visitor center.
