The event begins at 1:00 pm at the Fire Island Lighthouse Fresnel Lens Building.
“Gardiner Foundation grant funding made the book and this display possible,” said Fire Island Lighthouse Executive Director Dave Griese, “and Bill Bleyer and Audrey Tiernan made the book a success.”
Fire Island Lighthouse: Long Island’s Welcoming Beacon is authored by Bill Bleyer, an accomplished writer and historian whose other books include Sagamore Hill: Theodore Roosevelt's Summer White House and Long Island and the Civil War.
