Eating & Sleeping

There are various accommodations options within Everglades National Park. In Flamingo, 38 miles south of the Homestead entrance, visitors can stay overnight at the newly opened Flamingo Lodge, in fully equipped houseboats, in a winter or summer glamping tent, or on the campgrounds. The park has two campground facilities: the Long Pine Key campground located near the Homestead entrance of the park and the Flamingo campground located in Flamingo. The park also offers numerous backcountry sites for wilderness camping.

Those looking for a meal within the park have several options. The Flamingo Restaurant, adjacent to the Flamingo Lodge, is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, a limited variety of snack foods and beverages are sold at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center bookstore, at the Royal Palm Visitor Center bookstore, at the Flamingo marina store and at the Gulf Coast Visitor Center store. All visitors are welcome to bring their own food and beverages during their stay at the park.
