SFNRC Natural Resource Management

SFNRC Home >> Natural Resource Management

The SFNRC serves Everglades and Dry Tortugas National Parks by providing the best scientific information available to answer natural resource management questions. In this work, center scientists draw on inventory and monitoring data and ongoing interdisciplinary research conducted by NPS staff as well as scientists of other agencies and university collaborators.

Some examples of specific resource management activities might include participation in the development of both the General Management Plan and the Fire Management Plan, implementation of niusance or alien wildlife control, identifying possible threats to threatened and endangered species, and assisting in the investigation of unusual events or criminal activities.
