In anticipation of our education program’s 50th anniversary next school year, Everglades National Park is excited to announce an art contest for 4th and 5th grade students nation-wide! Students are asked to answer the following question through an art project:
Are we connected to the Everglades?
Guidelines for art:
Students can develop a painting, drawing, or sculpture for the contest in any style. Submissions should be a clear photo of the piece. Photos should be minimum 2 MP (1600 x 1200 pixels) and can be submitted in .jpg or .pdf formats.
The art piece must clearly relate to the prompt.
Submissions must be sent by a classroom teacher via email by April 30, 2021 at 11:59 PM EST. One entry per teacher. Homeschool groups are encouraged to participate as well!
Teachers must include the following information in their email: School Name, Location (City, State), Grade Level, and Student Name.
Winners will be announced by May 28, 2021 and may have their art displayed on our website and social media pages.

The contest is open to all. By entering the contest, entrants indicate that they have obtained the permission of a parent or guardian.
Entries must be the student's original artwork.
Classroom and homeschool teachers must submit the entry on the behalf of the student and school.
Photos must be a minimum of 2MP (two megapixels – 1600 x 1200 px) or larger.
Entries must be submitted to email@example.com along with the required information by April 30, 2021 at 11:59 PM (eastern time, United States). Winners will be announced by May 28, 2021 and may have their art displayed on our website and social media pages.
