Living and Working in the Hudson Valley

Our own Eleanor Roosevelt once wrote: “The purpose of life . . . is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”

Working and living in our region delivers the rugged, natural beauty of the Hudson Valley, world-renowned dining, and a storied history of empire builders, visionaries and artists. There’s no shortage of things to do in the Hudson Valley, which contributes to our well-known quality of life.

Our parks are located in Dutchess County, within New York’s world-famous Mid-Hudson Region. Located north of New York City and south of Albany along the picturesque Hudson River, we live among a mix of urban areas, waterfront cities, rural villages, farmlands, and forests. Most employees live in Dutchess and Ulster counties with an average commute of about 30 minutes.

It’s easy to maintain a perfect work-life balance with the abundance of recreational activities here. Wilderness preserves, mountain ranges, and the Hudson River provide many healthy outdoor experiences. The area is also home to a wealth of cultural institutions. An abundance of farms, microbreweries and distilleries, and the world class Culinary Institute of America have a strong impact on how well we eat. And don’t forget, we’re just a short train ride away from all that New York City has to offer.
