Grants, NM- Come out and enjoy Native American Art and Dance on Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5, 2024, at El Malpais National Monument! This free event will run from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm each day at the El Malpais Visitor Center located at 1900 East Santa Fe Avenue in Grants, NM.

This free event celebrates Native American artists from the surrounding area who will share their pottery, jewelry, weaving, sculpture, and more at this two-day event. Learn how these artists create their craft and how it connects with their culture. Many demonstrators will be selling their art, providing the opportunity to purchase directly from the artists.

The Pueblo Enchantment Dance group will perform several times throughout the day and artists will present talks. Don’t miss Acoma flute player, Limbert Martinez, as he plays traditional and original pieces throughout the day. Other things to do include museum exhibits, hike the half-mile trail, bring a picnic, and enjoy this fun event for the whole family!
