Current ConditionsPlease be aware that the temperatures, weather, traffic, construction and road conditions in Death Valley may vary and change depending on the time of year. Before your visit, we suggest you check out out park's road conditions and alerts page, the National Weather Service's forecast for the area of the park you plan to visit.WeatherDeath Valley National Park experiences a wide variety of temperatures and weather. Average temperatures throughout the year can range from 68–99° F (20–37° C) with temperatures much hotter in the summer months.Light showers, snow fall, monsoonal storms, wind/dust storms up to 50 mph (80 kmh) may occur depending on the time of year. The enviornment is also extremely dry. In addition, altitude throughout the park and along the main roads can drastically change from 127 feet (39 km) below sea level to 5,000 feet (1,829 km) above sea level in elevation.
