Denali Park Road and Campgrounds Reopen

DENALI PARK AK (August 30, 2025) – After evaluating conditions, Denali National Park and Preserve officials have made the decision to reopen all areas in the park affected by the closures on August 29, 2025.

The Denali Park Road is now open at Mile 15 (Savage Check Station), bus traffic past the Savage Check Station has resumed, and Sanctuary Campground, Igloo Creek Campground, and Teklanika Campground have been reopened.
