The public is invited to join award-winning writer and documentary filmmaker Dayton Duncan for a behind-the-scenes look at his new PBS film about the history of America's national parks on Thursday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m. at the Murie Science and Learning Center (MSLC) in Denali National Park and Preserve. The MSLC is located at Mile 1.3 on the Denali Park Road. The documentary, entitled “ America’s Best Idea: Our National Parks” is a collaborative effort with Ken Burns. The Murie Science and Learning Center is a collaboration between Denali National Park and Preserve, seven other Alaska national parks and several park partners to promote scientific research to aid park managers and provide science-based education programs and information to students, educational institutions, and the visiting public.
